Job description

Under the direction of the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will be key to realizing the next generation of manufacturing at the Kraft Heinz Dover Factory. Using tools such as loss analysis, technical problem solving, Lean / Six Sigma, project management, principles of engineering design, and others, this role will deliver productivity and efficiency targets through tangible and cultural improvement, both incremental and transformational.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Promote safety as a value and way of working in personal conduct and engagement with employees and contractors across the facility.
  • Analyze and understand factory losses including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, labor productivity, utilities, and solid waste, using a variety of available data sources.
  • Design and deploy solutions to eliminate losses, meet factory productivity goals, and improve processes for the benefit of employees, customers, and consumers.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand loss-drivers and develop effective solutions to eliminate losses.
  • Create project packages and project documentation in accordance with ePMO and capex governance for projects which require capital to execute.
  • Manage project stakeholders and project compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety & Quality (FSQ), The Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS), and all applicable regulations and governance.
  • Coach and support CI leads and Process Owners to build their skills surrounding data analysis and problem solving.
  • Contribute to the factory productivity pipeline and maintain the site AAP (Annual Action Plan) and governance routines.
  • Support execution of 90-day plans throughout the factory.
  • Execute process capability and improvement studies.
  • Conduct process flow mapping and line speed analysis to ensure new and existing equipment is configured to run to its maximum efficiency.
  • Develop existing and new digital systems to bring visibility to performance and losses across the factory.
  • Partake in the development and execution of the factory strategy, specifically related to process and manufacturing methods and technology.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to achieve team and factory goals.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with GMP in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar quality standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, communication, problem solving, stakeholder management, decision-making capability, project planning and coordination.
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate others, strong drive for results.
  • Proficient in computer applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; SQL, RSLogix, AutoCad, MiniTab, and other specialized computer skillsets highly considered.
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other engineering course of study preferred but not required.
  • Lift 50 pounds.
  • Able to work in areas that contain dust.
  • Able to work in hot and humid conditions.
  • Must be able to work overtime or be flexible in schedule as needed.

$77,800.00 - $97,300.00
