Become a part of Intel's Advanced Packaging Technology Development Substrates (APTD Substrates) organization. Our mission is to be the supplier of choice for leading and affordable substrate packaging. Join the APTD SWA organization to assist in achieving our mission and continuing to make this a great place to work.
The role of a Factory Engineer is to provide factory support by troubleshooting and maintaining Facilities Point of Contact (POC) to tool Point of Contact (POC) systems issues (ex: Exhaust, Drains, PCW, etc.) as well as leading Factory Safety, Quality and Upgrade projects.
Your role and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Focusing on addressing any Facilities POC to Tool POC issues.
  • Facilitate Trades Resources and Support to fix any Factory Safety or Quality Issues.
  • Lead Factory Infrastructure Projects: Includes items such as Exhaust Verification, CO2 Fire Suppression PMs, Improving Lighting, Tac Ops Room Sound, Installing cameras inside tools.
  • Lead/coordinate Factory Upgrade/Downtime Events.
  • Lead micro-contamination and ESD programs in the factory.
  • Provide support for Factory support equipment (Fridges, Lifts, Airborne Counters, etc.).

The ideal candidate shall possess the following behavioral traits:

  • Problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting skills.
  • Advanced communication skills with the willingness to effectively interact with peers, engineers, and customers.
  • Flexibility and efficiency of handling new tasks.
  • Willingness to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Be a self-starter, willing to manage own activities as well as supporting team activities.
Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Bachelor's degree in any of these engineering disciplines: Materials Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Physics or related discipline with 1+years of relevant experience.
  • OR Master's degree in any of these engineering disciplines Materials Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Physics or related discipline.
  • 1+years of experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing or Equipment Engineering.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Hands on and troubleshooting experience with manufacturing equipment.
