We're on the lookout for a passionate, energetic, and experienced Aquatic Facility Manager to lead the way at our vibrant Swim Central Aquatic Center!

This is not just another pool job - it's your chance to make a real impact in a year-round indoor facility (plus the sunny, seasonal fun of Splash Island outdoor children's wading pool). If you thrive in fast-paced, fun-filled environments and have a knack for leadership, we want you on deck!

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and inspire an amazing team of lifeguards, pool managers, and deck attendants.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff to keep operations running swimmingly.

  • Organize and oversee user group agreements and schedule of events.
  • Dive in when needed as an on-deck pool manager or lifeguard.
  • Support staff safety with CPR/AED/First Aid training and certification tracking.

This is your opportunity to combine leadership, creativity, and community impact - all in a fun, supportive, and dynamic environment!

The Aquatic Facility Manager directly reports to the Superintendent of Facilities. All pool managers, lifeguards, and deck attendant staff report directly to the Aquatic Facility Manager. As part of the Aquatic leadership staff, the Aquatic Facility Manager will assist in supervising all aquatic employees, including programming staff.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in facility management and customer service. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, consideration will be given to applicants with significant and material experience in aquatic programming and facility management. A strong understanding of pool pumps and filtration systems is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft software products.
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License.
  • Certifications: CPR/AED, First Aid, StarGuard Lifeguard Instructor, and Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator preferred. Must have the ability to acquire these certifications within 6 months of hire.
