Job description

Location: Atlanta, GA (College Park/Hapeville) - On-Site
Schedule: M-F with periodic 24/7 on call availability
As a Facility Manager at Velociti Services, you will lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical building systems and facility services across your assigned property or portfolio. This role combines operational leadership with technical oversight, ensuring all building infrastructure, maintenance programs, and support services are executed to the highest standards of performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
You will collaborate closely with engineering staff, client stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to maintain and optimize mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems supporting the client's headquarters operations. The Facility Manager is responsible for delivering operational excellence while driving efficiency, sustainability, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
  • Manage daily facility operations including: Mechanical systems (HVAC, building automation), electrical systems (lighting, UPS, generators, switchgear), plumbing systems, fire/life safety systems, janitorial and landscape services, and building appearance and general maintenance
  • Lead facility staff and service providers to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted building operations.
  • Perform routine site inspections and support troubleshooting of advanced building systems and operational issues.
  • Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and repair activities across all building systems.
  • Implement and maintain operational procedures, safety protocols, and methods of procedure (MOP).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, client leadership, Data Center/IT personnel, security teams, and vendors to support critical infrastructure and continuous operations.
  • Manage maintenance schedules and coordinate work activities to minimize disruption to business operations, including executive office areas and critical environments.
  • Monitor inventory levels and oversee purchasing of parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service agreements, and contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service expectations.
  • Provide support for emergency response situations and ensure proper escalation procedures are followed for 24/7 operational coverage.
  • Lead Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) initiatives and ensure compliance with all company, client, and regulatory safety standards.
  • Ensure achievement of account Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
  • Budget adherence
  • Preventive maintenance completion
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Energy efficiency initiatives
  • Sustainability and landfill diversion goals
  • Cost savings initiatives
  • Staff retention and engagement
  • Continuous improvement and best practices
  • Assist with budget preparation, expense tracking, and capital planning activities.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial facilities operations or building maintenance
  • 4+ years of leadership or management experience in facilities operations or engineering supervision
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Experience working with CMMS systems such as Corrigo, Maximo, or similar platforms
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Must be able to successfully pass client-specific background screening requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • Tradesman license (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS) and building automation technologies
  • Experience supporting corporate headquarters, critical environments, or data center operations
  • Knowledge of sustainability and energy management programs
