Job Description

The Facilities Manager ensures the efficiency, safety and good working conditions of all facilities at an Eataly location. Reports to the Director of Store Operations and oversees Facilities and Support team members.

  • Manages team members: hires, schedules, trains, motivates, submits payroll and disciplines as necessary
  • Ensures efficiency and good working conditions of multiple 24-hour facilities, including but not limited to: walk-ins, refrigerator units, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning services and off-site storage
  • Maintains accurate records of the conditions of all facilities in the building and creates a schedule of regular housekeeping and cleanliness for the store
  • Guarantees exceptionally clean and sanitary conditions in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Assesses the ongoing condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing and other essential facilities and equipment in order to anticipate needs and resolve problems
  • Ensures the safety of the building from fire, flood or other hazards
  • Oversees inventory and vendor relationships
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for 8 hours in length, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Ability to withstand extreme temperatures for extended periods of time
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Certification
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a Housekeeping, Facilities or Custodial Supervisor or Manager
  • Experience successfully managing a large team
  • Excellent time management, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Compensation: This position pays a base salary of $80,000 - $85,000
