JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently looking for a Building Manager for a high-rise residential building based in Richmond. This is a full time position for the Building Manager. The Building Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of a property or facility. This role ensures the building functions efficiently while maintaining a comfortable, secure, and compliant environment for tenants, staff, and visitors.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program key fobs, enter-phones, and email communication
  • Checks of all common areas (Hallway, mechanical, electrical)
  • Monthly fire safety checklist (required by City Fire Department)
  • Regular cleanup of mechanical, electrical and storage rooms
  • Basic security detail: checking doors, reporting suspicious activity
  • Reporting back to strata manager, and strata council
  • High level security detail: asking people to leave, checking camera footage.
  • Monthly reports to strata council and strata manager
  • Meeting with trades, spending time with them, and reporting back to strata
  • Meeting with residents, listening to them and resolve basic issues.
  • Attending council meeting upon inviting.
  • Attending to in-suite issues such as water leaks, doors, windows and reporting back
  • Basic mechanical, electrical troubleshooting from extensive industry experience
  • Picking up and delivering essential items and supplies
  • Completing basic telecommunication, and computer troubleshooting
  • In the absence of the concierge, the Building Manager will provide support with tasks such as move-ins and move-outs, enterphone management, and fob requests.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in facility management, preferably in residential settings
  • Experience with pool testing and maintenance is preferred. However, candidates without prior pool testing experience will be provided with training opportunities.
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Possess a keen eye for detail
  • Customer service experience is an asset
  • Computer skills (email, word document)
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English
  • Ability to deal with residents in a professional, positive, and friendly manner
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00- $28.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4 pm

    Starting date: July - August

    Experience:

    • Building manager: 3-5 years (preferred)
    • Handyman: 1 year (preferred)
