Job description

Local Hero is seeking a Media Coordinator with a passion for data and a steady hand to join our fast-growing marketing technology company. Your north stars are accuracy, precision, and optimization but always in service of delivering what the client needs.
You will work closely within our media team to source digital campaign data, validate campaign configurations, track and pace platform spend, and produce customer reports. If the request includes media data or campaigns, you're on it. You'll be valued to deliver outcomes that help our business and team grow, from quality-control upgrades to key performance insights.
Perhaps most importantly, the Media Coordinator will marry technical knowledge and platform experience with the interpersonal skills - you stand behind your point of view but are open to change; you ask what others think; you communicate your thinking proactively; you're flexible and not afraid to try new things; you're open to receiving and giving feedback; and you own outputs and outcomes.
Local Hero is a MAAP - Marketing as a Platform - technology company that blends local digital media, dynamic ad creation, self-serve technology, and full-service value to create custom campaigns and increase consumer traffic for national brands and local franchisees.
If you are looking to work in a fun start-up culture where you can take your skills to the next level, keep on reading!
This position is remote (hybrid available if within commuting distance to Boulder, CO) and open to candidates living in: Colorado, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and Utah.
*Relocation assistance is not provided. Please do not apply if you do not reside in one of the above locations.
A Day in the Life

  • Create program reports and identify opportunities to optimize media
  • Assist reporting on media spend, ad placements, and pacing
  • Source and validate campaign media configurations and data
  • Build media performance reports for campaigns, ads or targeting
  • Confer with other media professionals across BHI to create and share best practices
  • Consult on effectiveness and testing of ads with Local Hero national accounts
  • Suggest improvements to the media buying process and advise on developing media automation systems
  • QA campaign configurations, variables, and uploads.
  • Work with partner organizations to deliver data and reports in a timely manner

Here's what you need to get our attention:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous internship, academic project, or professional experience in marketing or related areas preferred.
  • Previous experience engaging in digital media buying or reporting programmatic media either in an internship or professional role.

Here's what will make us call you for sure:
  • Experience using The Trade Desk, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads and/or Snapchat
  • Intermediate+ skills in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, Vlookup, sumifs) and PowerPoint
  • Local digital campaign development
  • Advanced data analysis
  • DBA experience or skills

The successful candidate will have:
  • An understanding of media planning, buying, optimization, and tracking
  • A keen eye for detail when it comes to spotting errors in campaign setup

And if we haven't convinced you yet, here's why you'll want to be part of our team:
We aren't just in the most beautiful city in the world (in our humble opinion), but a place where fun isn't a 4-letter word:
  • Remote work available with the possibility of onsite or hybrid if in commuting distance of our Boulder, CO office
  • Time off is as important as hard work! Salaried employees are on a Flex PTO plan
  • Generous holidays including a reduced schedule between Christmas and New Year's
  • We make sure our team is well cared for with strong health plans - We even cover our employees' dental and vision premiums

At Local Hero we hire based on smarts, skills, experience, and potential-nothing else. Whoever you are and wherever you come from, if you're great at what you do, we want to hear from you!
