Job description

Design Engineering & Drafting Position available with Industrial Shadeports Inc!

The position is to be located in our Fort Lauderdale facility. This position will be responsible for steel structure design engineering and the drafting department. Work involved includes new product development through detailed design, structural drawings, manufacturing drawings and technical support for the shop and field. Software includes Rhino and various MPanel fabric design programs as well as a number of specialty fabric design programs. Experience with fabric structures is desired, steel structures is mandatory.

Industrial Shadeports is a full line manufacturer of Shade Structures and Shade Sails for the Municipal, Institutional, and Commercial markets. We are also a Certified General Contractor and self perform all aspects of design, manufacture, supply, installation, maintenance, repair and replacement in our Fort Lauderdale facility. We do not have a showroom or sell direct to the public.

A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are required.

Manufacturing and Construction experience is a plus as is experience with shade structures, commercial awnings and/or playground equipment. Structural Engineering Experience is a big plus!

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
