Job Summary:
The Expert Engineer, Microsoft Fabric is the highest-level individual contributor in the Data Platform & Services engineering team. This role provides technical leadership and architectural direction for UVM Health's Microsoft Fabric data platform, setting standards for pipeline design, data modeling, and engineering practices across the team. The Expert Engineer is the organization's primary technical authority on the Fabric platform and related Azure data technologies, leads the most complex strategic engineering initiatives, and partners with the Director on platform roadmap planning.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field required; Master's preferred.
Experience:
• 8+ years of data engineering experience, with at least 3 years at a senior or lead level.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure data platform architecture.
• Demonstrated history of designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Experience working in agile product delivery preferred.
