THE WORK
This position is a full-time position as a F-35 Instructor Pilot at Misawa Air Base, Japan in support of the JASDF F-35 Lightning II program. As an F-35 instructor, you will provide academic training through Electronic Mediated Lecture (EML) and Interactive Courseware (ICW). You will provide instruction using the Full Mission Simulators (FMS), operate Instructor Operating Stations (IOS), and will be responsible for all pilot training courseware updates.
As a successful candidate, you will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team to fulfill F-35 training objectives. You will implement, and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs, and policies as directed. This candidate may also be requested to augment training objectives and instruction at other F-35 operational/training sites as needed.
Instructs pilots in flight procedures and techniques in ground school courses and flight training. Prepares lesson plans. Applies advanced technical concepts in the area of aviation and provides assistance in creation of training material. Assists in the preparation of schedules, maintenance of training records and ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student. Evaluates and monitors students' performance. This position is typically represented by an experienced pilot.
