Job description

Are you a motivated, experienced Optician looking to join a thriving, patient-focused practice? This private optometry office has been serving the Bay Area for over 50 years and continues to grow! They are seeking a full-time Optician with a proven track record in optical sales to join their outstanding team in San Jose, CA.

Job Description:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and eyewear sales support to patients in a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice
  • Accurately quote and process VSP and Eyemed insurance (VSP and Eyemed experience is a must)
  • Guide patients through frame and lens selection, offering expert recommendations based on their needs and preferences
  • Ensure precise fitting and adjustments of eyewear
  • Maintain organized records and assist with inventory management
  • Collaborate with doctors and staff to deliver a seamless patient experience

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 4 days per week, alternating schedule for weekend coverage

Office Hours:

  • Mon-Fri 10 am–7 pm, Sat 9 am–7 pm, Sun 11 am–6 pm

Compensation:

  • $20–$35 per hour, depending on experience, plus commissions

Benefits:

  • Medical Insurance, 401(k)
