Position success criteria:

Perform preparation and cleaning tasks efficiently. Operate cannabis extraction equipment safely. Able to produce commercial quantities of product. Acts safely and professionally in the lab setting. Follows good manufacturing practice standards. Punctual and exhibits a outstandingly positive attitude.

Cannabis extraction using hydrocarbons

  • Perform the following types of cannabis oil extractions:
    • supercritical fluid extraction
    • closed loop extraction
    • simple distillation
    • short path distillation
    • wiped film distillation
    • fractional distillation
    • solventless cannabis extraction
    • ethanol extraction
  • Work in hazardous environments and conditions

Hazardous material handling experience

  • Display proficiency when safely handling hazardous materials such as:
    • butane
    • propane
    • ethanol
    • pentane
    • isopropyl alcohol
    • critically hot material
    • cryogenic material

Responsibilities

  • Preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction
