Job description

SUMMARY
At Magnolia, the Operations Manager is responsible for the management, development, and safety of Warehouse staff and processes. They are responsible for achieving company goals, making cost-effective decisions, and maintaining guest satisfaction. This position works from the Magnolia Warehouse in Waco, Texas. It reports to the General Manager of Warehousing and has supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Achieve operational objectives by recommending ideas, preparing, and completing action plans, collaborating with key stakeholders, implementing productivity/quality initiatives, and completing audits
  • Forecast operational requirements, develop KPIs for each work unit, and implement accountability tracking*
  • Accomplish Warehouse operations objectives by selecting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining employees while communicating job expectations*
  • Oversee and manage delivery trucks and equipment, including regular maintenance, inspections, repairs, and proper driver training
  • Develop and implement processes for receiving product, inventory management, and shipping orders within expected delivery window
  • Develop Warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and efficient product handling systems
  • Manage controllable costs within functional area, such as labor, supplies, and equipment repairs*
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures while complying with company and OSHA regulations*
  • Develop Warehouse inventory process by determining handling and storage requirements for product and materials, utilizing FIFO procedure, and managing inventory adjustments
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop warehouse management and team leads in process improvement, leadership, communication, professionalism, and collaboration*
  • Perform other duties as assigned

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of management experience and/or 5+ years of related work experience or a combination preferred
  • Forklift Trainer certification preferred upon hire
  • Must be available to work weekends, events, and holidays as business needs require

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is expected to utilize team lifting techniques when lifting bulky items or items weighing above 50 pounds and up to 120 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT
