Job description

Salary: $30 - $35 per hour (DOE)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prioritizing and organizing the team workloads to meet MEC KPI goals.
  • Key communicator with the customers and vendors
  • Confirm shipment profitability and escalate any loss and low profit files.
  • Managing CNS Report
  • Submitting RFQ to gain new business or to maintain current business
  • Supervising Air Export Team and POC for escalations
  • Quality control checks on making sure all export documentation is correct, Including Customs filing and TSA verification
  • Monitoring Vendors Performance
  • Working and Training Air Export team so that they can achieve their performance goals.
  • Review Dangerous Goods shipments in order to make sure we are compliant with Airlines restrictions
  • Supporting department in reducing cost for more profitability
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:
1. Minimum of B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited college or university: or a combination of
an A.A. degree of similar emphasis, combined with an increased amount of
industry/company experience may be substituted.
2. Minimum of five years experience in key phases of the freight-forwarding industry, focus in
Air Export, with half of that total in a functional group supervisory role.
3. Knowledge of carrier contracts and tariffs and federal and state government carrier
regulations.
4. Knowledge of export licenses and Carnet procedures.
5. Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, dependable, persistence, time management,
independent, documentation skills, scheduling and reporting skills.
6. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.
7. Experience in Sales is a plus.
8. Proven ability to suggest and implement corrective actions in case of issues that may arise.
