Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

Reports to: Distribution Center Supervisor

Location: Ellabell, GA

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Join us at our brand new, 500,000 square foot distribution center in the Savannah area (Ellabell, GA)!

About the Role: The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the shipping process within the distribution center. This role ensures that products are shipped accurately, timely, and cost-effectively while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely shipment of products to customers.
  • Review and verify shipping orders and ensure they are processed correctly.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped according to customer requirements
  • Communicate with Distribution Center Manager & respond to inquiries regarding shipment status, delays, and any issues that arise.
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies and handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, including hazardous materials handling and export controls.
  • Promote and adhere to safety standards and practices within the distribution center.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions.
  • Generate reports on shipping activities, costs, and performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in shipping and logistics operations.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce shipping costs.
  • Investigate shipping discrepancies with corresponding carriers or internal or external departments. At times needing to communicate with outside partners.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) systems and concepts
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
