JOB DESCRIPTION

Hiring for an Expo position (food expeditor) to work in a fast-paced environment! The Expo is the person who gets orders out to the customers fast and efficiently. The expo is the liaison between the kitchen staff and the front of house!

Responsibilities of the Expo

  • The expeditor ensures that no orders are lost, forgotten, or delayed.
  • Process orders quickly and communicates to
  • the kitchen and server staff
  • Organizes ticket orders and helps the kitchen staff to prioritize outgoing meals.
  • Maintain quality control.
  • The expeditor is the final line of defense for quality control of the food.
  • Directs the delivery of food to tables.

Requirements and skills for successful Expos

  • Experience working in a restaurant is a huge plus
  • Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

ABOUT THE COMPANY

In November 2007, Brooks Bassler founded BB’s with the original 1,100-square-foot restaurant at Montrose and Westheimer in Houston, Texas. It was the perfect starter! Bassler opened BB’s with the intention of creating a unique brand. BB’s would feature authentic New Orleans-style po’ boys and Tex-Orleans cooking with a distinct menu, offered how and when customers wanted it: for dine-in, catering and take-out, and available for late-night dining as well as during traditional hours.
