Overview:

The Fiberglass Technician performs various skills on varying items.


Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hand laminating, working a chopper gun, and rolling out fiberglass materials.
  • Vacuum forms and bonds plastics such as ABS, kydex, polycarb and plex_ Ability to grind fiberglass With power hand tools both In shop and on Rides.
  • Removing and repairing various materials and surfaces. Such as, install various seatbelts and change out upholstery.
  • Fabricating pans from polyester resin and urethane foam.

Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to prepare a pattern and pull a tool or a part Ability to assemble and install fabricated pans.
  • Basic knowledge of plastic materials, adhesive and fasteners.
  • Four-year experience in fiberglass assembly and polyester resin hand laminating _ Good mechanical skills
  • Position requires full availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Level 1: Applies general skills and some experience
  • Level 2: Applies skills and special knowledge with typically 3+ years of experience
  • Level 3: Applies full specialized skills and knowledge with 5+ years of experience
  • Level 4: Applies expert level of knowledge, skills with 7+ years of experience
