The Haldeman Auto Group is seeking an experienced Auto Mechanic/Technician to join our East Windsor, New Jersey team. New car dealership experience is not required.  This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled labor/contractor with previous automotive repair experience. As an Auto Mechanic at the Haldeman Auto Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles while upholding the dealership's reputation for excellence.


Compensation & Benefits
As a skilled Auto Mechanic/Technician, you will be eligible to receive a competitive hourly rate of $20 to $33 per hour (depending on experience). We also offer excellent benefits including a 401K retirement savings plan, medical & dental coverage, vacation time, and paid holidays.

Signing Bonus of $1000 to $5000 based on experience
Responsibilities-

  • Diagnose and repair various automotive issues, including engine, transmission, electrical, and mechanical problems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and provide accurate and detailed reports on findings.
  • Collaborate with the service team to prioritize and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and participate in ongoing training and development programs.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and explaining repair recommendations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform all levels of automotive repair
- Capacity to lift, pull, and push heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
- Knowledge of pertinent diagnostics and repair techniques
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing vehicles
- Certification from NATEF or ASE is preferable but not required
