Traveling Tradeshow Supervisor
Position Summary
The Traveling Tradeshow Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the on-site execution, setup, and dismantling of trade show exhibits. This role communicates with installation crews, coordinates logistics with General Service Contractors (GSCs), ensures compliance with venue and union regulations, and delivers high-quality exhibit installations on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Participate in pre-event meetings with internal Catalyst departments.
  • Review exhibit blueprints, installation manuals, and project specifications before each event.
  • Identify and resolve on-site challenges while maintaining project timelines.
Crew Leadership amp; Supervision
  • Assist in the coordination of contracted labor, union workers, and installation crews.
  • Assist in monitoring performance and ensure safe work practices.
  • Oversee labor hours and productivity to minimize overtime and control costs.
On-Site Logistics Coordination
  • Coordinate inbound freight, material handling, and exhibit component staging.
  • Work closely with General Service Contractors (GSCs), venue personnel, and show management.
  • Verify receipt of materials and ensure proper inventory control during installation and dismantle.
Exhibit Installation
  • Ensure all exhibit structures, graphics, lighting, and technology components are installed correctly.
  • Maintain quality standards and perform final inspections before show opening.
Dismantle amp; Asset Management
  • Oversee the safe dismantling, packing, and outbound shipping of exhibit materials.
  • Ensure proper labeling, inventory tracking, and protection of exhibit assets.
Client Relations
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients and exhibit house representatives.
  • Provide professional communication and status updates throughout the event.

Required Qualifications
