HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Instructor creates and implements age and health-appropriate group exercise classes for participants that meet the YMCA mission and standards as well as character development values of Caring, Respect, Honesty, and Responsibility.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
  • Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.
  • Develop, implement, and supervise group exercise class which promotes the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of participants.
  • Maintains working knowledge of program and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
  • Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
  • Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of and participation in program.
  • Other Duties: Assigned as necessary by the Wellness Director.
  • Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience
  • Program specific experience required.
  • Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED; Exercise certification (ex: AFAA, Zumba, Spinning, etc.)
