Job Summary/Objective
Performs the mailroom function; verifies accuracy of work.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Help customers throughout day with questions by demonstrating excellent customer service
  • Be familiar with all site building operation
  • Operate X-ray machine
  • Quality check all mail throughout day
  • Accurately sort USPS/interoffice and accountable mail
  • Accurately deliver mail to customers
  • Accurately sort mail throughout day
  • Open, prep and sort PO Box mail
  • Document checks, USPS, PO Box mail and other logs as required
  • Receive and verify incoming accountable mail
  • Process and track all incoming/outgoing accountable mail electronic and manual
  • Process incoming/outgoing pouch mail daily
  • Deliver and obtain signatures for all incoming accountable mail
  • Run end of the day UPS/DHL/USPS reports
  • Obtain signatures for all outside delivery services for incoming accountable mail
  • Obtain signatures from couriers for all outgoing mail and maintain manual log for UPS and DHL
  • Process outgoing mail accordingly
  • Conduct mail runs throughout day in a timely manner
  • Count and log all mail volumes throughout day and update site metric
  • Maintain metering machine as required
  • Deliver and stock copy paper at designated areas
  • Clean, organize and stock mail stop areas
  • Look up and research improperly addressed mail
  • Log all non-conformances throughout day

Qualifications
Required:
  • H.S. diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Required to work at computer for long periods
  • Required to stand, walk, simple grasp, reach with hand and arms.

  • Required to possess close vision and ability to focus
  • Conditions may include office environment, computer room, production floor, warehouse and shipping/receiving. Occasional exposure to dust, dirt, toner, ink and other environmental factors is possible.

  • May lift up to 25 lbs. frequently
