Job description

About the Team

Fanatics TCG is building the next generation of trading card games and collectible experiences. We sit at the intersection of game design, worldbuilding, and fandom-creating original IP and reimagining what cards can be in a modern, connected ecosystem.

Our ambition is long-term: to build enduring franchises that live across tabletop, digital, community, and culture. Cards are our foundation-but they are also game pieces, works of art, objects of identity, and engines of connection.

Role Summary

Fanatics TCG is looking for a Manager, Product Strategy & Innovation to help shape and scale our global portfolio of trading card games and collectible products.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role at the center of the studio. You will work across design, product, commercial, and leadership to define what we build, why we build it, and how it succeeds in the market.

You will operate across both strategy and execution-helping define our product roadmap while also driving initiatives from concept through launch and beyond.

What You'll Do

Own critical product initiatives

  • Take end-to-end ownership of high-impact product strategy projects
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across design, product, commercial, and operations
  • Ensure successful execution from concept through go-to-market

Shape the product portfolio

  • Define and refine our portfolio strategy across games, sets, and collectible formats
  • Build and evolve player/collector archetypes to sharpen value propositions
  • Help architect release cadence, product drops, and long-term roadmap

Drive innovation

  • Identify and evaluate new product opportunities, formats, and business models
  • Contribute to the development of new IP and expansion of existing worlds
  • Partner with creative and design teams to translate vision into product reality

Lead through insight

  • Build analytical models and frameworks to inform product and commercial decisions
  • Synthesize market, player, and partner insights into clear recommendations
  • Present findings and strategy to senior leadership

Engage the ecosystem

  • Develop a deep understanding of players, collectors, retailers, and partners
  • Help translate real-world behaviors into better products and experiences

What Success Looks Like (First 3 Months)

  • Own and drive a key product initiative from definition through execution
  • Contribute meaningfully to portfolio strategy and product roadmap decisions
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to leadership
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across the studio
  • Develop a deep fluency in the TCG and collectibles ecosystem

Who You Are

  • 4-7 years of experience in strategy, consulting, finance, product strategy, or similar
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills; highly comfortable with ambiguity
  • Clear, compelling communicator-both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to operate independently and drive complex projects forward
  • Comfortable working with and presenting to senior executives
  • Team-first mindset with a bias toward action and ownership

Bonus (but not required):

  • Experience with trading card games, collectibles, or adjacent industries
  • Passion for games, fandom, or worldbuilding

Why This Role

This is a rare opportunity to help build a new TCG studio from the ground up-shaping not just products, but the systems, worlds, and experiences that define them.

If you're excited by the idea of building something that could matter for decades-one card at a time-this is that role.
