Job description

As a Workplace Mental Health Consultant, you will serve as a deeply embedded clinical partner within Citi, a global financial services leader. This is a unique opportunity to move beyond the isolation of traditional private practice and join an onsite team of dedicated clinicians. In this collaborative environment, you'll provide a full spectrum of support, from individual therapy and team trainings to strategic consultations for People Leaders and critical incident response. Reporting to a Spring Health Clinical Manager, you will leverage a rare, team-based approach to drive mental health strategy across a high-performing workforce.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide onsite and virtual consultation and support to managers, People teams, and members to enhance employee wellbeing and workplace effectiveness.

  • Onsite Monday and Thursday from 8:30am-5pm with virtual support on Tuesdays or Wednesdays for 4 business hours (day and hours decided by candidate)

  • Offer strategic consultation to C-suite leaders, executives, managers, and Human Resources partners.

  • Deliver critical incident response support, small-group leadership discussions, and tailored mental health trainings or presentations for executive audiences.

  • Collaborate with a unique clinical team of onsite providers through regular touchpoints focused on best practices, complex organizational cases, and shared expertise.

  • Provide counseling and support to employees.

  • Assess risk and respond to organizational crises through in-the-moment support, triage, and safety planning.

  • Develop an expert-level understanding of the internal benefits ecosystem to provide seamless resource navigation and referrals.

  • Proactively build trusted relationships with local stakeholders.

  • Monitor workplace data and trends to identify strategic insights and recommend targeted mental health interventions.

  • Represent the program at benefits and promotional events to increase awareness and engagement.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while following confidentiality, ethical, and organizational standards.

  • Identify and resolve barriers to care to create a frictionless member experience.

  • Communicate regularly with local points of contact and escalate site needs to the broader clinical leadership team.

What We Expect From You
  • Hold an unrestricted license to practice psychotherapy in both New York and New Jersey; Connecticut licensure is a plus. Eligible licenses may include Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, or a comparable credential.

  • Be able to practice independently without licensed supervision.

  • Have at least five years of post-graduate experience as an independently licensed clinician; eight or more years is preferred.

  • Have experience providing management consultation, critical incident response, and executive-level presentations to C-suite and senior leaders.

  • Be comfortable facilitating groups ranging from 5 to 500 participants, both virtually and in person.

  • Demonstrate a strong track record of supporting executives and high-performing professionals navigating organizational change, strategic pressure, and complex stakeholder dynamics.

  • Bring executive coaching capabilities while maintaining a strong clinical lens, trusted-advisor presence, and effective one-on-one counseling skills.

  • Facilitate creative, agile, and relatable trainings and leadership discussions on topics such as psychological safety, resilience, leadership effectiveness, and sustainable performance.

  • Be available for occasional local travel to a Westchester, New York campus to deliver onsite executive presentations.

  • Demonstrate strong technology proficiency and telehealth competency, including experience with Zendesk, Slack, Google Workspace, and related platforms.

  • Have training and experience in evidence-based care modalities, including short-term and solution-focused therapy.

  • Be comfortable assessing elevated risk and providing safety planning and intervention when needed.

  • Complete accurate, high-quality documentation in a timely manner.

  • Be comfortable working independently while also valuing team support, connection, and collaboration with other providers and master's-level clinical care navigators.

  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across teams and client populations.

  • Have reliable at-home Wi-Fi and a personal Wi-Fi-enabled device to support two-factor authentication setup.

  • Identify and elevate cross-functional themes that may affect culture, morale, or productivity, and proactively recommend appropriate interventions.

  • Maintain a strong and accessible onsite presence to reduce stigma and encourage early help-seeking.

  • Recognize and address compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, and emotional exhaustion common in high-demand, customer-facing environments.

  • Provide de-escalation support during high-stress incidents and stabilization guidance during periods of peak demand.

The target pay range is $110-$117 per hour. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
