Overview
Executive Search Associates is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist to join the Oncology Research Institute, a well-established, community-based oncology practice in Bakersfield, California.
This role offers a unique balance between patient care and clinical research, ideal for physicians who value meaningful patient interactions, longer visit times, and the opportunity to participate in clinical trials within a collaborative, physician-led environment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across oncology services
  • Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives
  • Support the growth and development of oncology programs
Requirements
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology
  • Active California license (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong clinical background in adult oncology
  • Interest or experience in clinical trials preferred
Benefits
  • Guaranteed base salary: $650K-$850K (first 3 years)
  • Productivity-based bonus structure (wRVU model)
