As a Senior Manager in Governance, Risk and Resilience, you will work collaboratively within a high-performing team to analyze issues and address client challenges related to enhancement of risk management practices, building a more resilient organization that is better equipped to withstand adverse events, and benchmarking to industry leading practices across various industry sectors. You will partner with clients to understand their strategic and operational risks, prioritize key issues and support risk-informed business decisions.
You will lead end-to-end Risk & Governance engagements—from shaping the approach to delivering high-quality outcomes—while balancing client service excellence, quality, and risk management. You will communicate complex information clearly and effectively through well-crafted deliverables and by facilitating executive-level discussions and working sessions, while contributing to the growth of both your own capabilities and the practice.
Some projects you will be leading include: risk identification, assessment and mitigation; risk appetite articulation including limit setting and monitoring; scenario analysis for risk deep-dives; corporate governance effectiveness; Board governance assessments and the review and enhancement of crisis management programs. The focus will be primarily non-financial risk areas such as strategic risks, geopolitical risks, reputation risks and other areas of operational risks.
Some examples of day-to-day activities include:
- Key contributor to practice growth, business development and pursuits from identifying opportunities, shaping proposals and contributing to resourcing decision
- Lead engagement teams and manage client projects to meet client expectations and ensure project profitability
- Contribute to the development of team members as a coach and as a leader within the practice
- Conduct current-state assessments of strategy, governance, policies, processes, and controls related to enterprise risk, and tailoring approaches to the client context
- Identify, prioritize, and communicate key insights and recommendations, and support clients through implementation planning
- Develop and review high-quality deliverables for executive-level audiences
- Develop firm point of views and support innovation on approach and thinking across enterprise risk management and governance practices.
Our Enterprise Risk practice supports clients through the enhancement of risk practices with the aim of supporting the achievement of strategic objectives and resilient business operations. Across Enterprise Risk, we have professionals who specialize in regulatory compliance, business resilience, board governance, corporate governance and people-related risks such as workplace equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility.
Enterprise risk management continues to evolve with a more complex macro environment, changing regulatory landscape and shifting societal expectations offering an opportunity to drive meaningful and lasting impact for organizations and their people.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our Enterprise Risk practice. This role is critical in helping clients navigate complex strategic and operational risks, supporting strong governance and risk practices and to elevate the risk conversations with Boards and executive leaders.
We are looking for someone who:
- has an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, engineering, finance, economics, law or related field, or an MBA degree.
- has eight plus years of relevant experience in enterprise risk management in a consultancy or as part of a risk team in industry.
- brings an advisory mindset, including structured problem-solving, clear and effective communication, and the ability to manage risk, scope, and timelines.
- has the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues,
- ability to deliver strong client service by working collaboratively and supporting consistent, high-quality outcomes
- has demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet challenging deadlines across multiple projects and/or commitments
- has experience leading complex projects, managing workplans and budgets, and supporting teams
- values coaching, development, and building collaborative, high-performing teams.
The salary range for this position is $126,000 - $234,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
