Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Client Executive will be responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships, driving the retention and growth of a portfolio. They will also be the dedicated liaison for their own portfolio of clients, providing them with excellent service and support. This position is client-focused and can build relationships and retain a book of business for the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manage the renewal processes, collaborating with account management and underwriting for renewals on the assigned book of business.
  • Position and showcase products, rates, stop loss, and expanded product portfolios to increase sales and maximize revenue.
  • Process receipts and prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to send to underwriting and stop loss vendors.
  • Perform routine operational tasks associated with evaluating an RFP (e.g., disruption).
  • Act as a client-facing representative, providing support during open enrollments, independently conducting open enrollment presentations, and effectively addressing member issues.
  • Assist in resolving routine problems (i.e., underwriting, reporting, billing, employer, and member concerns, etc.) by working with the appropriate departments and the Account Manager to ensure resolution.
  • Help facilitate the renewal of existing cases by managing claim reviews, stop loss marketing, and setting service level expectations.
  • Produce and analyze Ad Hoc reporting when requested from the client/broker/Account Executive.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • At least 1 year of experience in an account management role required.
  • Working knowledge of employee medical benefit plans.
  • Experience with Group health insurance and self-funded health plans preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate level work experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel Access, and Power Point software applications.
  • Proven ability to deliver public presentations, presenting benefits and compliance information in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
