We’re looking for a detail-oriented Title Searcher / Junior Title Examiner to join our team and grow within the title industry.

 

Position Overview:
 The Title Searcher / Junior Examiner is responsible for researching public records and assisting in the examination of title to identify issues that may affect real estate transactions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the title and escrow industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct title searches by reviewing public records, including deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, and tax records 
  • Compile and organize search data for review by senior examiners 
  • Assist in examining title to determine ownership and identify encumbrances or defects 
  • Review legal descriptions for accuracy and consistency 
  • Communicate findings clearly to internal team members 
  • Assist with clearing title issues as needed 
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company standards


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in title searching, abstracting, or a related field preferred 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to analyze and interpret legal documents 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn Softpro Title software system
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
