Job description

SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) is a full-service consulting engineering firm based in downtown Manhattan providing services in civil, structural, transportation engineering, bridge & facility inspection, construction management & inspection and lighting design. We are engaged in local community improvement projects to large, high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects with a strong reputation of delivering a wide range of projects for our clients in the public sector.
SIE is looking for a Project Executive - Rail/Transit to overseevarious MTA C&D transit projects. This position will be responsible for the successful construction and overall project delivery for the client and overall client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Overall management of large-scale multidisciplinary rail construction projects
  • Managing overall project team, including budget and schedule
  • Serve as primary point of contact to the client on all project matters
  • Overall responsibility for construction management
  • Responsible for overall project delivery and quality
  • Identifying and recommending candidates for the rail/transit team
  • Leading pursuits of rail/transit projects, serving as technical lead on key pursuits
  • Participate in strategic positioning for major regional project opportunities
Qualification & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or similar
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or Certified Construction Manager
  • 20+ years of experience in rail construction projects including stations, line structures, communications systems, and track work
  • Experience with MTA C&D (including NYCT, LIRR, MNR), Amtrak, NJ Transit, and PANYNJ
  • Experience with design-build projects
  • A demonstrated ability to cultivate new clients, identify opportunities, and win work
  • Strong relationships within the industry including within agency, consultant, and contractor community
  • Ability to take ownership and be accountable for projects and personnel
  • Excellent communication skills and work ethic
  • A demonstrated ability to independently lead and support business development and proposal activities
  • A demonstrated ability to evaluate the technical requirements of segments of the individual projects, outline the tasks, manpower and equipment requirements, establish fees, scope and project budgets and outline a project schedule
  • A demonstrated ability to administer all project general and technical data and reports to communicate verbally and in writing to all parties involved
Expected salary range is $187,200 - $301,600 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual's qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
