Scope of Responsibility
Multi-Modality MRI Radiologist Techs are also responsible for ensuring both patient safety and comfort during examinations. MRI Technologists are also responsible for coordinating and performing MRI scans for diagnostic purposes and for providing patient services using applicable modalities. The tech is also responsible for all safety measures related to MRI suite. This position performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to create three-dimensional images of tissue, organs and other body parts that are used by radiologists to detect abnormalities, make diagnoses and treat patients
Responsible to the Executive Director of Imaging Services and Imaging Supervisor.
Education
  • Complete/Pass a C.A.H.E.A. approved Radiologic Technology program that provides an Associate Degree or a 2 year certificate in radiology

Training and Experience
  • Must be ARRT registered or registry eligible. Registry eligible candidates may be conditionally employed as long as the test is taken and passed within one year within first year of employment
  • Must be a MRT in good standing licensed by the Texas Medical Board
  • Must obtain and maintain current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
  • Must obtain and maintain ARRT and MRT registries, to include requited CME
  • One year experience preferred
