Account Executive – MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc.

Exemption Status: United States of America (Exempt)

Salary: $85,356 – $115,232 – $145,107 (pay scale is indicative; final compensation based on experience, education, and qualifications).

Job Description

The Account Executive is responsible for the success of the overall client business relationship of a book of business that includes complex, strategic, and other key revenue generating clients. The role provides proactive and strategic support for achieving financial goals through leadership of client deliverables, renewals, and upsell activities. The Account Executive manages all aspects of client relationships with minimal direct oversight and is accountable for ongoing client satisfaction and revenue growth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead client‑specific strategic, financial, and business relationship plans covering client goals, performance expectations, new products/programs, and growth in claims volume/profitability.
  • Ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet the quality expectations of MedImpact internal and external stakeholders.
  • Optimize sustainable growth and profitability for the assigned book of business and achieve financial targets.
  • Build solid business relationships with executive‑level decision makers within client organizations.
  • Utilize financial and pricing models to analyze and present business scenarios that illustrate growth opportunities.
  • Influence client decisions through analytic reports, industry trends, and factual data that position MedImpact as a market expert.
  • Organize and lead client business planning meetings, financial performance reviews, leadership summits, and internal strategy planning meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal leaders and staff to solve problems, plan successful outcomes, and implement new client programs.
  • Manage challenging situations constructively in line with MedImpact’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide oversight of projects and client initiatives and assist in interpreting client requests.
  • Deliver regular feedback on strategic plan performance and outcomes to MedImpact leadership.
  • Support implementation of new clients and programs in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Contracting and other areas.
  • Represent the voice of the customer in internal sales, product development, and strategic executive meetings.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA and 7+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with 4 years in a client‑facing business development role.
  • Self‑Insured: Experience in the self‑insured benefits arena with employers, private‑label PBMs, cash card and related entities.
  • Managed Care: Experience in managed care benefits with PBMs or managed healthcare services to national and regional organizations.
  • Experience with Medicaid and Medicare is desired.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook; proficiency with key internal business applications such as MedOptimize and Golden 32 within six months of employment.
  • Fluency in English; Spanish language skills strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with advanced Excel and SQL knowledge.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Previous leadership experience and track record of driving product, program, and company success.
  • Ability to interpret instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.
  • Experience applying basic algebra, geometry, and mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to present information effectively to managers, clients, and the public.
