Job description

We are seeking a qualified Electrician with experience in the water and wastewater industry. This role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems associated with water/wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, and equipment in accordance with local and national codes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with motors, VFDs, PLCs, SCADA systems, pumps, and lighting systems.
  • Work collaboratively with plant operators, engineers, and maintenance teams.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • Valid electrician’s license/certification (state-specific).
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial or utility electrical work; experience in water/wastewater facilities is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of NEC (National Electric Code) and safety practices.
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and SCADA systems.
  • Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies on-call as needed.
