The Consultant is responsible for gathering payroll-specific requirements, configuring Dayforce Payroll modules, managing client expectations, identifying risks, and communicating effectively with Project Managers and client stakeholders. This role may also provide Organizational Readiness consulting and guidance to Associate Consultants, especially related to payroll processes and employee-facing readiness.

We are very open to candidates who have payroll implementation experience in another HRIS or payroll platform and are excited and ready to be cross-trained and certified in Ceridian Dayforce. This role can be fully remote, or hybrid in Dallas, Texas.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project plans to ensure timely, on-budget delivery of Dayforce Payroll implementations
  • Lead payroll-focused client discovery sessions, document requirements, and translate them into Dayforce configuration
  • Configure Dayforce Payroll modules, including earnings, deductions, taxes, pay groups, pay policies, and employee self-service
  • Support and lead payroll cycle planning, configuration, testing, and client readiness activities
  • Facilitate solution design, configuration, unit testing, integration testing, training, and deployment activities related to payroll
  • Conduct consulting sessions (phone, video, or in person) and prepare meeting notes and deliverables
  • Partner closely with Project Managers to provide updates on tasks, timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies
  • Advise clients on Dayforce and payroll administration best practices to maximize efficiency, compliance, and employee experience
  • Collaborate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and third-party vendors (tax providers, banking partners, integrations)
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee and payroll data
  • Perform payroll data audits and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide postgolive consulting support for payroll administration and payroll processing cycles, including year-end activities
  • Support payroll-related integrations and file feeds, including tax filing and general ledger interfaces
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for Dayforce Payroll functionality
  • Support Organizational Readiness activities, including payroll communications and employee readiness
  • Review client payroll policies and pay practices and provide recommendations aligned with industry best practices

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of software or HRIS implementation experience with a strong focus on Payroll Administration
  • Hands-on experience implementing payroll within SaaS/Cloud HCM platforms
  • Experience with one or more of the following systems: Ceridian Dayforce (preferred), Workday, UKG, ADP, Ultimate, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or other payroll systems
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, including earnings, deductions, taxes, payroll cycles, and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting or leading payroll processing cycles and year-end activities
  • Experience in business process mapping; change management experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of payroll-related data files, integrations, and interfaces (e.g., tax filings, GL, banking)
  • Proficiency in SQL and XML is a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and project workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong facilitation skills for workshops and client-facing sessions
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and timemanagement skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment (especially during payroll cycles and year-end)
  • Willingness to travel on a limited basis
