As a Strategic Account Executive, you build deep, trusted relationships with clients and serve as their strategic partner. You meet clients where they are-listening closely, understanding their challenges, and delivering insights that help them reach their goals. Your work fuels growth, strengthens partnerships, and elevates the client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with key client decision-makers to develop meaningful, long-term relationships.
  • Apply industry and market knowledge to offer forward-thinking recommendations.
  • Engage across all levels of client organizations to ensure alignment and influence outcomes.
  • Share timely insights on market trends to help clients stay ahead.
  • Use financial and underwriting expertise to guide cost management and highlight the value of Cigna solutions.
  • Drive growth, earnings, and retention by expanding relationships and managing renewals.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and cross-functional partners to deliver integrated, strategic solutions.
  • Oversee and support client service needs by connecting requests with the right internal teams.
  • Strengthen relationships with distribution partners and ensure alignment on client strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in health benefits, account management, or client-facing roles.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Financial acumen and familiarity with underwriting principles.

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, underwriting, or operations.
