Senior Account Executive Job Description

As a Senior Account Executivefocused on the North AmericaEastRegion, you willutilizeyour technical knowledge, deep insight of the Customer, and broader Industry knowledge to maximize and monetize the value of Cadence solutions. You will be responsible for selling all Cadence solutions, including EDA software, hardware, design IP and design services, to the accounts assigned to you and new prospects that you identify. It is expected that you will interface with all levels of individuals in your customer base from frontline design engineers to C-Suite leadership. You will leverage relationships and superior communication skills to work with these customers to develop engineering solutions that address a variety of complex industry design challenges. You will propose solutions to your customer that will gain buy-in and drive new business across the organization.To accomplish this you will also be required to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal Cadence stakeholders in the factory and the field.

Key Qualifications

  • Must be comfortable in a technical setting andunderstandEDA tools, IP, Systems/PCB/Digital, Analog and Mixed-Signal ICdesign,and the semiconductor manufacturing eco-system
  • Account management skillsincludingthe ability to coordinate with Cadence Business Units, Sales, and Sales Management to increase revenue,maintainclient relationships, andidentifynew opportunities.
  • Must haveabilityto call "high" (Executive and Engineering Management) and help drive multi-million-dollar, complex sales campaigns with multiple decision makers and influencers across the customer organization.
  • Deep understanding of electronics systems and IC software design processes relevant to the customer ecosystem.
  • The ability to foster and grow customer relationships throughout all levels of the customer organization to better connect our solutions with the customer's problems/business challenges andensureroadmap alignment for long term success.
  • A proventrack recorddemonstratingthe abilitytoidentifyand understand customer pain points and the ability to communicate this to a broad range of technical and non-technicalpeople.
  • Knowledge and demonstration of the ability to manage the complete sales process,strong communicationskills, and the ability to interact effectively with engineering, legal and financial staff at all levels.
  • A track recordof successfully managing multiple priorities, workingwithand managing cross functional teams, and driving results asevidencedby overachievement of sales goals.
  • Lead Cadence's push fornew technologyand innovation adoption
  • Collaborate with other Sales overlays and field personnel to ensure a "One Cadence" approach.
  • Interface and align with Cadence Business Unit leaders.

Position Requirements:

Experience

7+ years of professional experience in the electronics design business.

5+ years of experience in sales or pre-sales roles.

Verifiabletrack recordof overachieving aggressive sales quotas.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to travel (mainly easternNA) 50%

US Citizen

Education

MS or BS Degree in technical discipline, preferably EE.

MBA is a plus

Location: NortheastUS Location(New England, New York or New Jersey)
