Job description

Overview:
Job Title: Enterprise Account Executive - Storage & Infrastructure (Houston)
Location: Houston, TX (client-facing role with regular on-site meetings in Greater Houston and across Texas)
About Maddisoft
Maddisoft is a Houston-based IT services and consulting firm focused on helping enterprises modernize their technology landscape. We are expanding our portfolio into enterprise storage, data center, and networking as an authorized partner of Dell Technologies, HPE, IBM, NetApp, and Cisco.
We design and deliver infrastructure solutions for oil & gas, energy, EPC, manufacturing, and industrial customers, combining best-of-breed hardware with consulting, migration, and managed services.
The Role
We are looking for a senior Enterprise Account Executive to launch and grow our hardware and storage solutions business in Houston.
This is a hunter role: you will leverage your existing relationships and market knowledge to win new infrastructure projects (storage, backup, networking, compute) and expand Maddisoft's footprint in key enterprise accounts. You will work closely with our OEM partners and internal solution architects to design and close high-value deals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end sales for storage, backup, networking, and server solutions across target accounts in Greater Houston and Texas.
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new enterprise customers in oil & gas, energy, EPC, manufacturing, and other relevant verticals.
  • Use your existing rolodex of CIOs, IT directors, infrastructure leaders, and OEM/channel contacts to accelerate pipeline and shorten sales cycles.
  • Lead discovery meetings to understand business drivers, workloads, and technical requirements; collaborate with Maddisoft solution architects to design appropriate architectures and proposals.
  • Position and sell solutions based on Dell PowerStore/ PowerMax/ PowerScale, HPE Alletra & GreenLake, NetApp AFF/ONTAP, IBM FlashSystem/DS8000, and Cisco Catalyst/Nexus/UCS, as well as Maddisoft's services.
  • Create and execute a territory and account plan with clear targets, activities, and timelines.
  • Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, solution shaping, pricing, negotiation, and closure.
  • Work with OEM field teams and distributors for deal registration, POCs, and MDF-funded campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity records in CRM.
  • Represent Maddisoft at industry events, OEM partner events, and customer workshops in the region.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience:
    • 7-12+ years of B2B IT sales, with 5+ years focused on enterprise storage / data center infrastructure (storage arrays, backup, networking, and/or servers).
    • Proven success selling solutions from at least two of the following: Dell Technologies, HPE, NetApp, IBM, Cisco (either as vendor or through a VAR/SI).
    • Track record of achieving or exceeding annual quotas and closing six-figure infrastructure deals.
  • Market & relationships:
    • Strong network in Houston / Texas enterprise accounts-especially oil & gas, energy, EPC, and industrial customers.
    • Established relationships with OEM storage/networking reps and key distributors in the region.
  • Skills & knowledge:
    • Solid understanding of storage concepts (SAN/NAS, AFA vs hybrid, block/file/object, backup & DR, cyber-resiliency, hybrid cloud).
    • Working knowledge of data center networking (Cisco Catalyst/Nexus) and compute (Dell/HPE/Cisco UCS) and how they integrate with storage.
    • Strong consultative selling, executive communication, and negotiation skills; comfortable presenting to C-level and technical audiences.
    • Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and disciplined in pipeline and forecast management.
  • Mindset:
    • True hunter mentality: self-starter, proactive prospector, comfortable building something from the ground up.
    • Able to collaborate closely with presales, delivery, and OEM partner teams.
    • High integrity, customer-centric, and comfortable in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Based in Houston, TX; able to travel across Texas as needed.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
