Job description

Overview
BROOKLINE, MA - BOSTON SUBURB (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED) - A private family in the Boston suburb of Brookline is seeking an exceptional full-time rotational nanny to join their household on a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule beginning July 1, 2026. This is a rare opportunity for a true career nanny who understands the privilege and responsibility of working within a professional household and is ready to bring their very best to two young girls every single shift.
The family has two girls, ages 2 and 3. The household includes a Lead ROTA Nanny, weekday nanny, Estate Manager, Personal Assistant, Chef, Executive Housekeeper, Junior Housekeepers, and Security. It is worth noting that much of the team is relatively new and many systems and workflows are still being developed and refined. The incoming ROTA Nanny will report directly to the Lead ROTA and is expected to integrate constructively into the household, contributing positively to the culture and standards as they continue to take shape. Candidates who thrive in environments that are still evolving and who bring flexibility, initiative, and a solutions-oriented mindset will be well-suited here.
The schedule runs Tuesday to Tuesday, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with 24-hour availability as needed during the 7-day on shift. This is a live-out position, however the family may request overnight assistance during the on-shift week when needed. The family travels extensively, spending 60 or more days per year with the children, including time at their vacation home in Mexico. A candidate who is genuinely excited about travel and comfortable crossing international borders regularly is essential to this role.
Primary responsibilities are centered entirely on the two toddlers and include all aspects of daily childcare, children's cooking, children's laundry, driving the children in the family's provided vehicle, swimming with the children, administering medications as needed, and full participation in domestic and international travel. The family has a dog, so comfort with pets is a must. Please note that family laundry, family cooking, and errand running are not responsibilities of this role.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned career nanny with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of post-college professional childcare experience, including strong and recent hands-on toddler experience, prior rotational placement, and private household experience. They bring warmth, structure, and exceptional competency to every shift, communicate professionally with principals and staff, and embody the low-drama, low-ego presence this household requires. All candidates will complete an initial screening with the Lead ROTA Nanny as the first step in the process and must be fully prepared to undergo a thorough background check including security-level screening.
All candidates must be current on Tdap and influenza vaccinations and must be comfortable signing an NDA. The family provides a vehicle for all work-related transportation. This position offers a highly competitive compensation package of $140,000 to $160,000 gross annually via payroll, with full benefits including 401K, medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, and PTO.
