Job Description

The Position

As part of Versant’s in-house executive search team, the Associate, Executive Search will play a key role in delivering a best-in-class search function across the organization. This individual will support and execute senior-level searches, contributing to all phases of the executive recruiting lifecycle, including research, market mapping, candidate engagement and search delivery.

This is an opportunity to work on high-impact leadership hiring initiatives while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across a dynamic and evolving media organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the development and execution of tailored executive search strategies to attract high-caliber leadership talent across Versant’s portfolio.
  • Partner with the Director of Executive Search to drive end-to-end execution of senior-level searches, including research, sourcing, assessment and offer process coordination.
  • Build and maintain proactive, real-time talent pipelines aligned to current and future business needs.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and talent mapping to identify key industry players, competitive landscapes and organizational structures.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Talent Acquisition and business leaders to deliver a seamless, high-touch experience for candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant candidate tracking within ATS/CRM systems, ensuring data integrity and supporting reporting needs.
  • Contribute to the development and sharing of market insights and talent intelligence to inform hiring strategies and business decisions.
  • Represent Versant in the external talent market, effectively communicating the company’s vision and leadership opportunities.
  • Support the continued build and evolution of the in-house executive search function.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

The Person

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in managing and executing full-cycle executive level searches from an executive search firm or in-house executive recruiting function within a media, entertainment, technology or digital media company.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for candidate interviewing and assessment, client correspondence, project documentation and status reporting.
  • Proven ability to successfully collaborate and communicate with colleagues in a highly integrated team environment.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills; capable of identifying key players, industry trends, competitive talent landscapes and organizational structures.
  • Skilled at guiding and partnering with a market research and intelligence function; ability to capture and synthesize large volumes of market and talent information from senior management and business leaders.
  • Strategic, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience of an analytical, strategic and problem-solving work style.
  • Proven excellent time management and follow-up skills in a multi-client, fast paced, frequently pressurized environment.
  • Ability to form strategic business partnerships internally and externally with multiple stakeholders, including senior line management, corporate and divisional human resource executives and other project-based stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and organizational savvy necessary to understand and anticipate future business and talent needs.

Additional Requirements 

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
