Job description

America At Work is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and senior Finance leadership team.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and discreet Senior Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative and operational support to the CFO and designated VP-level Finance leaders.

This is a highly visible role within the organization and an opportunity to serve as a trusted partner to senior Finance leadership. The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of independence, anticipate executive needs, manage complex priorities, and ensure the seamless coordination of executive, financial, governance, and operational activities.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of executive assistant experience, including direct support of C-suite or senior executive leaders, exceptional judgment and discretion, strong business and financial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Executive Coordinator, or similar senior administrative role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting C-suite executives or senior leadership, preferably a CFO, CEO, COO, or senior Finance executive.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with a high degree of judgment, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Proven experience managing complex calendars, multiple priorities, deadlines, and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Experience handling confidential and highly sensitive business, financial, and organizational information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a Finance, accounting, or corporate finance organization.
  • Experience supporting Board of Directors or Board committee activities.
  • Exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit, or compliance processes.
  • Experience working with investors, auditors, or external financial partners.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide projects, system implementations, or organizational transformation.
  • Experience providing guidance or mentorship to other Executive Assistants.
