Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Mid/Senior Systems Engineer to support an innovative program office. You will provide systems engineering expertise focused on weapons control and support the requirements development, integration, verification and validation, technical assessment, and risk management of advanced defense systems. You will collaborate with government, military, and industry stakeholders to support system integration efforts, technical reviews, and mission-critical program objectives. You will bring a strong understanding of weapons control systems and relevant operational experience, with preference for candidates who are Navy veterans with backgrounds on surface ships or submarines. Work Location: Washington, DC

Travel:Less than 10%

Clearance: Secret Clearance required

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+/10+ years systems engineering experience supporting defense or weapons systems.
    • Candidates will be considered at the Mid or Senior level based on education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with weapons control systems and associated systems engineering activities.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense or military environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with government, military, and industry stakeholders.

Desired Experience:

  • Prior experience as an officer on surface ships or submarines with relevant weapons control responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting hypersonic weapons, advanced weapons systems, or related defense technologies.
  • Experience with systems engineering processes including requirements development, systems integration, verification and validation, and technical assessments.
  • Operational experience with weapons employment, weapons control, combat systems, or related mission areas.
  • Strong communication, briefing, analytical, and technical writing skills.

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000-$150,000. This rangerepresentsagood-faithestimate and is not a guarantee; final compensation isdeterminedby factors such as experience, qualifications, and government contract labor rate requirements and may fall outside the stated range. In addition to base pay, Ventus offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), ESOP participation, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.
