Berkeley College is seeking highly qualified and motivated instructors to teach in the M.B.A. program and to support its vision of becoming the college of choice for students pursuing lifelong success in dynamic careers.
The M.B.A. program at Berkeley College (NY and NJ) seeks adjunct faculty members to teach both online and onsite courses in the MBA in Management program in the following areas:
• Human Resource Management
• Financial Management
• Supply Chain Management
• Economics
• Leadership and Organizational Behavior
• Accounting
• Healthcare Management
• Operations Management
• Management of Technology
Qualified candidates can be interviewed by appointment, either remotely or at our Woodland Park, NJ, or Midtown Manhattan, NYC campuses.
Only candidates who meet all of the specified criteria will be invited to interview.
Academic Responsibilities and Essential Functions: • Collaborate with full-time faculty colleagues and instructional design specialists to develop MBA courses based on established learning outcomes • Deliver effective and engaging lessons to graduate business students • Initiate, facilitate, interact and moderate classroom forums • Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, case analyses, presentations and papers within the time frame set forth by Berkeley policy, providing effective feedback to guide student learning and success • Comply with Berkeley guidelines and expectations for quality faculty engagement online or onsite • Reply to communication from students within 24 hours, including one weekend day • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills • Attend discipline specific and administrative meetings for adjunct faculty as scheduled • Maintain subject-matter currency by participating in discipline-related professional communities • Contribute to the development of dynamic co-curricular activities for students, such as executive speaker series, research symposia and professional networking events • Support Berkeley College initiatives and departments.
Salary range: $2970.00 - $3630.00 per course/semester
JOB SUMMARY:
Candidates for the position of adjunct faculty member would join a strong team of dedicated professionals at Berkeley College. Adjunct faculty would be required to: • Teach seven-week courses using the Canvas learning management platform. • Meet all departmental standards and requirements as outlined by Berkeley College. • Demonstrate a commitment to student success • Respond to students' questions and requests in a timely, professional manner • Facilitate discussion boards using interactive media as well as promote critical thinking in working with students. • Grade assignments, providing substantive feedback to students, within 3-5 days of submission.

Job Requirements:
• Earned doctorate or other relevant terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution in the field of teaching specialization
• 3-5 years of graduate-level teaching experience using Canvas or other online learning management systems required
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Ability to meet departmental standards as described in the job summary
• Ability to complete required training in effective online teaching strategies and methods
• Significant professional experience in the field of teaching specialization
• Availability and skills to teach in either online or onsite modes
