Job description

We are seeking a senior, proactive Operations Manager to join the Ads Operations team in support of Ads' highest priority projects. The Ads Ops team operates in a consultant/agency model — deployed to jumpstart, accelerate, or fix initiatives that are a company or Ads priority with a high degree of urgency. Projects range from a few weeks to several months depending on organizational need. This role is crucial for aligning strategic initiatives, streamlining operations, and ensuring that the organization's goals are translated into actionable plans across all functions — serving as a bridge between leadership and execution. You will partner directly with VP-level leaders and their organizations, standing up operational infrastructure, driving cross-functional alignment, and providing strategic counsel in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. The ideal candidate can seamlessly shift between providing strategic thought partnership and managing high-stakes execution. You are an "air traffic controller" — able to tackle a wide variety of data, challenges, and situations to help leadership focus on the most important work without distractions. You build credibility quickly, operate with minimal direction, and bring a bias for decisive, fast-moving solutions with a "no barriers" mentality.
Ads Operations Manager Responsibilities:
  • Leadership Partnership & Strategic Counsel: Serve as a strategic thought partner to VP-level leaders and their organizations — translating leadership priorities into structured execution plans, proactively identifying risks, and providing operational counsel on org-wide decisions
  • Rhythm of Business (RoB): Establish and maintain operational cadence for senior leadership — designing review processes, ensuring the right stakeholders are in the room at the right frequency, managing staff meetings, and driving accountability on outcomes
  • Executive Review Management: Gatekeep and prioritize requests for executive reviews
  • prepare pre-read materials, briefing documents, and week-ahead summaries
  • provide pre- and post-review coaching and feedback to teams
  • Cross-Functional Sprint Leadership: Drive high-priority, cross-functional initiatives (including CEO/Company-level requests) from inception to delivery — scoping, stakeholder alignment, milestone tracking, escalation management, and ensuring flawless execution across organizational boundaries
  • Stand Up & Accelerate: Coordinate working groups for areas that cut across organizational lines
  • at times be specifically tasked to own a workstream or deep dive into a part of the organization to kickstart 0-to-1 efforts or accelerate execution
  • Organizational Alignment & Accountability: Ensure goals are translated into actionable plans, track key organizational priorities, follow up on action items, disseminate decisions across the org, and maintain systems that enable faster leadership decision-making
  • Operational Design: Proactively identify operational issues, escalate as needed, and devise processes and frameworks to resolve — building sustainable operational infrastructure rather than one-off fixes

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience in program management, strategy, management consulting, or operations
  • Experience operating as a trusted advisor to VP/SVP-level leadership, with the executive presence and judgment to navigate senior stakeholder dynamics independently
  • Demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills with solid business acumen
  • Track record of organizing, developing, and executing complex strategy projects with successful outcomes in highly cross-functional environments
  • Experience operating autonomously and efficiently in ambiguous, fast-paced settings — rapidly scoping problems, building credibility, and driving alignment without established playbooks
  • Proven ability to partner with cross-functional leadership to transform insights into actionable outcomes
  • Experience navigating complex organizational structures while maintaining confidentiality and discretion
  • Experience influencing and building alignment with senior management through problem-solving, analytical skills, and executive-level communication
  • Interpersonal skills and experience developing effective relationships with peers, senior management, and cross-functional partners

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree in business, technology, or related field
  • Background in top-tier management consulting (McKinsey, Deloitte, BCG, Bain) or equivalent strategy/ops experience
  • Experience in advertising, monetization, or B2B technology environments
  • Track record of successfully deploying into new organizations, rapidly learning the landscape, and delivering impact within weeks
  • Experience driving change and improving end-to-end processes at scale
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
