What You'll Do:
We're looking for an HR Operations & Compliance Manager to join our team in New York or Chicago!
Nexxen is a global advertising technology company connecting advertisers, agencies, and publishers across screens and formats. As we continue to scale, our People function must be as efficient, compliant, and easy to navigate as the technology we build for our customers.
We are seeking a HR Operations & Compliance Specialist to support the execution and continuous improvement of our global HR programs and processes. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who thrives in the details, takes ownership of their work, and is energized by solving operational problems at scale.
You will work closely with the VP, HR Operations & Transformation and cross-functional partners to ensure our HR processes are consistent, compliant, and running smoothly across every region we operate in.
Key responsibilities include:
HR Process Execution & Standardization
  • Support the design and execution of scalable HR workflows, policies, and reporting structures across regional hubs.
  • Project-manage key People programs along the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding ensuring smooth and consistent delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, or improve existing HR processes leveraging AI technologies and bring recommendations to the team and partner to implement.
  • Drive AI adoption across the People Success team ensuring progress against KPIs and value realization of our investments to streamline, automate and build for scale.

Global Compliance Support
  • Support compliance with local, state, and international employment laws (including GDPR and multi-country labor codes) under the guidance of the VP and Legal.
  • Assist in maintaining audit-ready documentation, controls, and process records across People Operations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and flag compliance risks to the appropriate stakeholders.

HRIS Administration & Data Integrity
  • Administer HR information systems to maintain accurate employee data across onboarding, changes, and offboarding workflows globally.
  • Ensure clean data governance practices so People data is reliable and up to date.
  • Support HRIS improvement initiatives and assist in implementation projects as needed.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Serve as a day-to-day partner to Finance on HRIS data integrity, reporting, and workflow accuracy.
  • Collaborate with regional HR teams and business partners to troubleshoot issues, share updates, and ensure consistent process execution.
  • Assist in evaluating the HR tech stack and support the implementation and roll out of new tools and integrations.

What Will I Bring?
Required
  • 4-6 years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or a related HR generalist role.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, BambooHR) and HR data management.
  • Solid understanding of employment law fundamentals and compliance requirements across multiple geographies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Proven ability to execute on projects independently and follow through with minimal direction.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented working style with strong communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a builder mindset, comfortable working in an environment where processes are still being built and refined.

Preferred
  • Experience with workflow automation tools or process improvement methodologies.
  • Exposure to global HR operations across multiple regions or time zones.
  • Background in data reporting or People analytics.

In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 at the time of posting. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
