Reports to: Sales Director
Rapaport is seeking a highly driven, sales-focused Account Executive to aggressively grow supplier participation and revenue for our global diamond auctions. This role is ideal for a true hunter - someone who thrives on prospecting, outbound sales, relationship building, and closing new business opportunities.
We are looking for a go-getter with a strong sense of urgency who is energized by finding new opportunities, developing accounts, and consistently driving auction volume. The ideal candidate is confident making outbound calls, building pipelines, upselling existing clients, and turning relationships into long-term revenue growth.
As a member of the Auction Supply Team, you will be responsible for sourcing new supplier accounts, increasing existing supplier participation, and driving consistent auction volume across monthly Melee and Single Stone auctions.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development & Revenue Growth
  • Proactively identify, prospect, and onboard new auction suppliers through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and industry relationship development
    • Drive consistent monthly auction participation by increasing supplier submissions and growing existing account volume
    • Aggressively pursue new business opportunities within the diamond, jewelry, pawn, luxury resale, manufacturing, and estate markets
    • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting through onboarding, relationship management, and account expansion
    • Upsell and grow existing supplier accounts by identifying additional auction opportunities and increasing submission frequency and volume
    • Maintain a high level of outbound activity including calls, emails, follow-ups, and pipeline development
    • Build strong supplier relationships that drive repeat business, loyalty, and long-term revenue growth
    • Develop targeted outreach strategies for key market segments and high-potential accounts
    • Educate suppliers on Rapaport's auction services, processes, and market opportunities
    • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and account tracking within Salesforce
    • Collaborate with operations, compliance, and processing teams to ensure a seamless supplier experience
    • Represent Rapaport Auctions at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings as needed

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management
    • Diamond, jewelry, pawn, auction, or luxury goods industry experience strongly preferred
    • Proven track record of prospecting, generating leads, closing new business, and growing accounts
    • Strong hunter mentality with a highly proactive and competitive sales approach
    • Comfortable with high-volume outbound outreach, cold calling, and pipeline building
    • Strong upselling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
    • Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
    • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
    • Self-motivated, organized, goal-oriented, and highly driven to exceed targets

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary of $55,000-$60,000 annually, plus competitive uncapped commission and bonus structure
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
    • 401(k) plan
    • Paid time off (PTO)
    • Opportunities for travel, trade shows, and industry events
    • Collaborative and fast-paced team environment with strong opportunities for professional growth and industry learning
