Our client is seeking a Senior JD Edwards Technical Functional Analyst to join its growing Information Technology organization. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned JD Edwards professional who combines strong technical development expertise with functional business knowledge across Finance and Procurement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting and enhancing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne while partnering with business leaders to improve business processes through technology.

Position Overview

The Senior JD Edwards Technical Functional Analyst serves as the liaison between business stakeholders and Information Technology, providing both technical and functional leadership for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. This role is responsible for gathering business requirements, designing solutions, configuring applications, developing customizations, supporting integrations, and leading testing efforts while ensuring solutions align with business objectives.


The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in JD Edwards developmentFinance modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets)Procurement, and preferably Distribution.


Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

  • Partner with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and IT leadership to understand business objectives and system requirements.
  • Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Develop functional specifications, technical requirements, workflow documentation, and process maps.
  • Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Assist with project estimation, business cases, and solution recommendations.


JD Edwards Technical Development

  • Design, develop, modify, and support JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications.
  • Develop custom business functions, applications, reports, and integrations.
  • Create and modify:
  • Business Functions (BSFNs)
  • Named Event Rules (NER)
  • Event Rules (ER)
  • Interactive Applications
  • Batch Applications
  • Reports (UBE)
  • Table Conversions
  • Business Views
  • Develop SQL queries and troubleshoot application performance.
  • Support Orchestrator, Business Services (BSSV), REST APIs, and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with CNC administrators on deployments, package builds, and environment migrations.

  • Validate configurations and custom development.
  • Ensure changes are thoroughly tested before production deployment.
  • Support release planning and change management activities.

User Support & Training

  • Provide advanced functional and technical support for JD Edwards users.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes.
  • Develop user documentation and training materials.
  • Conduct end-user training for new functionality and system enhancements.
  • Support ongoing production operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor junior analysts and developers.
  • Share technical knowledge and best practices across the IT organization.
  • Coordinate activities across development, infrastructure, functional teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in project planning and enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Promote IT standards, governance, and development best practices.


Required Qualifications

  • 8–15+ years of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience in both technical development and functional analysis roles.
  • Strong JD Edwards development experience including:
  • Event Rules (ER)
  • Named Event Rules (NER)
  • Business Functions (BSFN)
  • Universal Batch Engines (UBE)
  • Table Conversions
  • Business Views
  • Object Management Workbench (OMW)
  • Extensive functional experience supporting:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Fixed Assets (FA)
  • Procurement
  • Experience gathering business requirements and designing enterprise solutions.
  • Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience configuring and testing JD Edwards applications.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting Distribution and Supply Chain modules.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management and Order Management.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • JD Edwards Orchestrator experience.
  • REST API and Business Services (BSSV) experience.
  • Basic JD Edwards CNC knowledge.
  • ITIL experience.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, and enterprise automation technologies.
