Job description

IT Support Technician
LGA Partners, a leading architecture firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, is currently seeking an experienced IT Support Technician. This role will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for the Firm's IT systems across multiple office and for remote staff. This role will sit at LGA's corporate office in Pittsburgh.
How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Support firm-wide IT projects, including the design and implementation of new IT systems
  • Troubleshoot and conduct maintenance of Microsoft and Apple-based devices, network, and software issues
  • Provide user support including Microsoft Office and industry specific software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam
  • Ensure users systems operate efficiently including workstations, email, anti-virus, printing, security upgrades, and software licensing
  • Monitor and administer co-managed IT ticketing system and update internal IT knowledge base
  • Ensure that all data, network access, and systems are secure and protected
  • Evaluate user needs and system functionality, provide user training, support, advice, and feedback as needed
  • Coordinate with a third-party managed services contractor for daily monitoring, network maintenance, and support assistance
  • Configure and set up new hardware and software while simultaneously coordinating workstation moves
  • Manage software and operating system upgrades and make proposals as needed
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies
  • Make recommendations for improving the firm's IT systems
What You Bring to the Table:
  • 3+ years' experience in IT support in a professional service firm or similar
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology or greater
  • Up-to-date knowledge of operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Server, and hypervisor environments
  • Outstanding communication/collaboration and time management skills
  • Proficient in basic enterprise software (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Previous experience within the AEC industry advantageous
  • IT certifications advantageous
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
  • Manual dexterity for sketching, computer, and phone usage
  • Walking, standing, and traversing various terrain frequently
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 25 pounds at times
