Lead the Future of Commercial Interior Design

This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished executive leader to shape the future of a thriving commercial interiors organization. We are seeking an Executive Vice President of Commercial Interior Design to lead and scale our commercial business, driving growth, profitability, operational excellence, and exceptional client experiences. Reporting directly to the CEO, the EVP will own the Commercial P&L and provide strategic leadership across sales, interior design, procurement, project management, and client delivery. This role requires a visionary business leader who understands how to align people, processes, and performance to achieve sustainable growth while delivering outstanding design‑driven solutions. The ideal candidate is a proven executive with deep experience in commercial interiors, strong financial acumen, and a passion for building high‑performing teams and exceptional client relationships.

What You’ll Do Strategic Leadership & Business Performance
  • Lead the overall commercial business unit with full accountability for revenue, profitability, operational performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies that expand market presence and drive long‑term business success.
  • Manage the Commercial P&L, leveraging pricing, fees, discounts, and operational efficiencies to maximize profitability.
  • Partner with executive leadership to establish strategic priorities, performance goals, and organizational initiatives.
Team Leadership & Operational Excellence
  • Lead and align cross‑functional teams across sales, design, procurement, and project management.
  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain scalable processes and standard operating procedures that ensure consistent execution and exceptional results.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders while fostering professional growth throughout the organization.
Client & Project Delivery
  • Oversee all aspects of commercial interior design projects from concept through installation and project closeout.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations and company standards.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, stakeholders, and partners while cultivating long‑term relationships.
  • Lead problem‑solving efforts, providing strategic direction and innovative solutions to complex project challenges.
Procurement & Financial Oversight
  • Optimize procurement processes, including bidding, budgeting, vendor negotiations, and quotation review.
  • Strengthen vendor and supplier partnerships to improve efficiency, quality, and cost management.
  • Monitor project financial performance and ensure alignment with profitability objectives.
  • Oversee quality control initiatives, site inspections, and punch‑list reviews to ensure successful project completion.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within commercial interior design, workplace, hospitality, healthcare, multi‑family, or related commercial markets.
  • Demonstrated success leading large‑scale commercial projects and cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, profitability, and P&L performance.
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high‑performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long‑term vision and day‑to‑day execution.
  • Strong organizational and operational leadership capabilities.
