Job description

Are you a storyteller who can translate AI and cloud innovations into compelling narratives that resonate with C-suite leaders. Do you have the technical depth to engage with CIOs and CTOs, and the business acumen to inspire CFOs, CEOs, Boards of Directors, and beyond. AWS is seeking an executive audience messaging and narrative leader to shape how business and technology leaders understand AI and cloud innovation.

You'll own end-to-end narrative strategy, from defining the value propositions that differentiate AWS to building the messaging frameworks and content that bring them to life for executive audiences. You'll architect messaging frameworks, create signature content that scales across precision engagements with executives and larger channels (digital, events), and ensure AWS shows up with consistent, compelling stories for senior audiences. This role works at the intersection of AWS's go-to-market ecosystem partnering with Product Marketing, Industry and Account-Based Marketing, Analyst Relations, Corporate Communications, customers, and other key functions to shape audience narratives and drive alignment.

This role sits within Global Executive Marketing (GEM), which is responsible for driving the integrated go-to-market strategy for executive audiences across AWS and nurturing relationships to advocacy through a global portfolio of Executive Engagement programs.
Key job responsibilities
Know Your Executive Customer Deeply
Conduct an audit of existing executive-facing messaging and content to identify opportunities for greater consistency, impact, and differentiation
Build a deep, research-backed understanding of executive personas-with particular focus on business-oriented roles (i.e. CIO/CTO, CEO/founders, CFO, CMO, CRO, CHRO) whose priorities and decision-making processes differ from technical buyers
Map how these leaders define success, their challenges and pain points, how they discover and evaluate information, and how they make decisions-developing rich audience profiles that inform all downstream messaging
Identify where executive audience messaging can be strengthened across the organization, establishing a clear view of where dedicated ownership adds the most value
Create Differentiated Positioning & Messaging
Define and own the executive audience messaging framework-translating AWS capabilities, business outcomes, and strategic value into positioning and stories that resonate with C-suite decision-makers
Develop core messaging pillars, value propositions, and accompanying customer stories for executive personas, ensuring they connect the needs of these leaders with AWS's differentiated value
Synthesize market intelligence, customer feedback, competitive insights, and subject matter expert input to continuously refine positioning and messaging strategy
Serve as the executive audience subject matter expert-the go-to resource that teams across Marketing, Sales, and Communications turn to for guidance on how to engage senior leaders effectively
Build Scalable Assets & Enable Teams
Develop core messaging assets and templates that industry, account-based marketing, and field teams can customize for their specific executive engagements-ensuring consistency and quality at scale
Create foundational content including executive-ready narratives, presentation frameworks, talk tracks, briefing materials, and thought leadership themes
Lead message testing and optimization programs, using data, analytics, and direct customer feedback to validate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
Enable marketers and field teams on executive messaging-raising the bar on how the organization communicates with senior leaders across all channels (digital, events, sales engagements, executive briefing centers)
Partner with content and demand generation teams to ensure executive-focused messaging is integrated into broader marketing programs where relevant
Drive Cross-Functional Alignment & GTM Integration
Partner with product marketing managers, solutions architects, and subject matter experts to ensure executive messaging is technically grounded, strategically sound, and consistently applied
Identify and amplify compelling customer transformation stories, collaborating with customers to develop case studies that demonstrate measurable business impact for executive audiences
Help define the go-to-market approach for reaching executive personas through existing and emerging channels-partnering across field sales, account-based marketing, events, and communications
Drive cross-functional alignment on executive messaging priorities, influencing stakeholders across a matrixed organization and serving as a resource for teams creating their own executive-facing content
