Job description

Senior Sales Executive – IT Services

Location: United States (Remote/Hybrid, flexible)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: Senior Reports To: VP of Sales / Head of Sales

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Sales Executive to drive new business growth for our IT Services offerings. You will lead the sales cycle — from prospecting and lead generation through to closing deals — bringing your own client relationships and hunter instinct to the table, backed by delivery teams to help fulfill and grow the accounts you bring in. The ideal candidate has a track record of personally originating and closing project-based IT services revenue.

This role is best suited for a hunter-mentality sales professional who takes ownership of building and closing their own pipeline.

Note: This role is focused on new-business sales for project-based IT services. It is not a fit for candidates whose experience is primarily in recruiting, bench sales, vendor management, or fulfillment-oriented staffing sales, unless accompanied by substantial project-based IT services revenue personally originated and closed.

Key Responsibilities

              •            New Business Development: Identify, prospect, and generate leads for project-based IT services solutions across your existing network and new market segments.

              •            Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Drive the end-to-end sales process — prospecting, qualifying, pitching, negotiating, and closing.

              •            Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers (CXOs, VPs of Engineering, Procurement, and other technology stakeholders).

              •            Relationship-Led Growth: Draw on your industry relationships and market presence to open doors and build early-stage opportunities with prospective clients.

              •            Pipeline & Revenue Delivery: Build a qualified pipeline within your first 90 days, and progressively close project-based services engagements typically ranging from $100,000 to $1 million or more.

              •            Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs within the IT Services space.

              •            Proposal & Negotiation: Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts/SOWs, and manage pricing discussions in coordination with internal stakeholders.

              •            Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, opportunities, and forecasts in the CRM.

              •            Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with delivery and leadership teams, who will support you in fulfilling and growing the accounts you close, to ensure smooth client onboarding and satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

              •            10–20 years of experience in new-business sales or business development within IT services (application development, cloud, data, QA, or related technology solutions). Account-management experience is relevant only when accompanied by demonstrated new-logo acquisition.

              •            Demonstrated ability to personally source, pitch, and close deals, taking direct ownership of client relationships from first contact through signed contract.

              •            Active market relationships and a demonstrated ability to generate opportunities through those relationships — candidates must be prepared to discuss specific client segments, decision-maker relationships, prior deal values, sales-cycle duration, and revenue personally originated.

              •            Deep understanding of the IT services sales cycle, including proposal/SOW negotiations, pricing structures, and contracting considerations.

              •            Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

              •            Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho) for pipeline and forecast management.

              •            Bachelor''s degree preferred (not mandatory with equivalent experience).

              •            Track record of consistently closing engagements in the $100,000–$1 million+ range.

What We Offer

              •            Opportunity to build and lead a portfolio of personally originated accounts.

              •            Direct access and faster decisions: Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership on pricing, proposals, deal strategy, and partnerships.

              •            Autonomy and account ownership: Build your own target-account strategy, originate opportunities, and retain primary commercial responsibility for the accounts you develop.

              •            Strong delivery support: Sell with the backing of experienced US and India-based technology, delivery, recruiting, and operations teams.

              •            Broad services portfolio: Pursue opportunities across application development, cloud, data, quality engineering, digital transformation, and related IT services.

              •            High earnings and growth potential: Benefit from an uncapped incentive structure and the opportunity to expand into larger account, portfolio, or sales leadership responsibilities.
