What is an executive in?

Executive In positions refer to high-level roles within an organization, such as Executive Director, Executive Vice President, or similar titles. These roles typically involve overseeing major departments or functions, making strategic decisions, and leading teams to achieve organizational goals. Executives are responsible for setting the vision, managing resources, and ensuring that the company meets its objectives. Their work often includes collaborating with other leaders, representing the organization externally, and driving innovation and growth.

What are some common challenges faced by executive assistants when supporting multiple executives, and how can these be managed effectively?

Executive Assistants often support more than one executive, which can create challenges such as managing conflicting priorities, coordinating multiple calendars, and handling a high volume of communications. To manage these effectively, strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to anticipate executives' needs are essential. Many successful Executive Assistants rely on digital tools for scheduling and task management, set clear expectations with each executive, and practice regular check-ins to stay aligned with shifting priorities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an executive assistant, and why are they important?

To excel as an Executive Assistant, you need exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office administration, typically supported by a relevant degree or experience. Outstanding interpersonal skills, discretion, and adaptability help build trust and manage high-pressure situations effectively. These abilities are vital for ensuring seamless executive support, efficient operations, and maintaining confidentiality in fast-paced business environments.

Job description

Sales Executive

Role Overview:

Yellow Dog Software, the leader in inventory management solutions, is growing and looking for experienced, results-driven sales professionals to join our team. We partner closely with clients across a variety of industries, including food & beverage, gaming, resorts, hotels, amusement, institutions, clubs, and retail.

We are hiring Sales Executives to support growth across several of our key vertical markets. The ideal candidate is a consultative, self-motivated sales professional who can quickly learn our technology, identify opportunities, and build trusted relationships with both operational users and business leaders. Vertical alignment will be based on experience, strengths, and business needs.

The ideal candidate is a consultative B2B seller with strong business judgment, excellent CRM discipline, and the ability to manage complex opportunities independently. This person must be able to qualify effectively, prioritize high-value opportunities, and build a healthy pipeline through inbound leads, outbound prospecting, partner referrals, trade shows, and strategic account targeting.

This role requires someone who can sell into operationally complex environments, communicate clearly with both executives and end users, and collaborate cross-functionally with implementation, support, product, integrations, account management, marketing, and partner teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the full sales cycle from discovery to close.
  • Building and maintaining a qualified pipeline.
  • Qualify opportunities based on fit, urgency, revenue potential, technical feasibility, and implementation readiness
  • Accurately maintaining opportunities, notes, next steps, and forecasts in CRM.
  • Following up on inbound, outbound, trade show, and partner-sourced leads.
  • Build credibility with both executive decision-makers and operational users
  • Develop strong working knowledge of the software and deliver hands-on, consultative demonstrations that connect system capabilities to the prospect’s vertical, business needs, and operational workflows
  • Collaborate with internal teams to confirm fit, feasibility, and implementation expectations.
  • Meet or exceed assigned monthly, and annual sales goals.
  • Representing the company professionally in market, partner, and trade show settings.
  • Support Marketing and Partner teams by providing field feedback, vertical-specific insights, and customer/prospect trends
  • Represent the company effectively at trade shows, webinars, partner events, and industry meetings as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience.
  • Proven success meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Experience managing a full sales cycle.
  • Strong discovery, demo, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
  • Excellent CRM discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple active opportunities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SaaS, software, hospitality technology, inventory management, POS, ERP, or operational systems.
  • Experience selling into hospitality, food and beverage, private clubs, lodging, entertainment, retail, or multi-location businesses.
  • Experience with partner referrals, trade shows, or channel-influenced sales.

This is a strong fit for a mature, self-directed seller who can own a market, build pipeline, close business, and contribute positively to a growing sales organization.

Finalists will be required to deliver a brief sales presentation or product demonstration as part of the interview process. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their ability to uncover needs, communicate value, handle questions, and present a solution in a compelling and consultative manner.

This can be a remote, hybrid, or in office position; interested candidates must be available and willing to work standard Eastern Time (EST) business hours.
