PLUS Communications is a full-service communications firm based in Arlington, Virginia. PLUS Communications leads award-winning campaigns integrating public affairs, corporate communications, digital, advertising and media buying. PLUS means more!

The Executive Assistant will be responsible for managing the daily and long-term schedules for several partners at the firm. This individual will coordinate all travel, internal and external meetings and provide other administrative support as needed.ย 

This role is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of communications and the day-to-day business operations, while working alongside partners.ย 

The ideal candidate has two years of experience in scheduling and/or administrative roles with high-level executives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex calendars and schedules and coordinate all internal and external meetings and commitments for the executive using Microsoft Office
  • Serve as the point of contact between the partner(s) and other employees and clients
  • Coordinate international and domestic travel arrangements
  • Provide IT assistance as needed
  • Code and submit monthly expense reports on behalf of the partner(s)
  • Work closely with other executive assistants/schedulers
  • Manage the executive's personal and business database of contacts
  • Assist with the partner(s)' personal errands, as needed
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Two years of experience in scheduling and/or administrative support roles for high-level executives and/or on Capitol Hill
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and ever-changing priorities
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, is able to anticipate needs before they arise, and resolves issues quickly
  • Possess excellent people skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of personalities
  • Flexible to the changing needs and responsibilities of the workplace
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, due to the nature of the work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Benefits

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule that includes both in-office and remote work. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is eligible for overtime pay.

The budgeted salary is $55,000 and there is an opportunity for a year-end bonus. Medical, dental, vision, 401k, and life insurance. We also offer a paid parental leave program, paid vacation and paid sick leave. In addition, we have a work from home hybrid environment.
